Vacuum Pump Flushing Guide
This guide outlines the complete flushing and oil-change procedure required after every run. It includes all drain, flush, refill, and verification steps, as well as the required fluids (FF-10 and Inland 19).

Quick Facts
- When to Flush: After every run

- FF-10 (flushing fluid)
- Inland 19 (operating oil)
- Verification: Pump must reach ultimate pressure similar to a new factory unit before use.

Flushing Procedure
STEP 1 — Drain the Pump
- Drain all oil from the pump.
STEP 2 — Close the Drain
- Close the drain valve after emptying.
STEP 3 — Run Pump Without Oil
- Run the pump 5–10 seconds with no oil.
STEP 4 — Drain Again
- Drain the pump again.
STEP 5 — Close the Drain
- Close the drain valve again.
STEP 6 — Add Flushing Fluid
- Add FF-10 flushing fluid to the pump.
STEP 7 — Run for 30 Minutes
- Run the pump for 30 minutes with the KF-25 adapter attached to the Bullseye vacuum gauge.
STEP 8 — Record Vacuum Level
- Take note of the vacuum level achieved each run.
STEP 9 — Repeat Flush Cycles
- Repeat from Step 1 until the pump achieves an ultimate pressure similar to a new factory unit.
STEP 10 — Final Drain, Then Refill With Inland 19
- Repeat Steps 1–5, but fill with Inland 19 instead of FF-10.
STEP 11 — Confirm Ultimate Pressure
- Check the ultimate pressure one more time.
- When proper ultimate pressure is reached, the pump is ready for use.
