USA Lab UC/DLSB Series Chiller Fan Replacement Guide
This guide explains how to remove and replace the fan inside a DLSB chiller. The steps include removing side panels, disconnecting the fan wiring, unbolting the fan housing, and installing the new fan.

Quick Facts
- Side panels removed: Right + Left
- Total bolts/screws removed: 11 (4 panel screws, 2 housing bolts, 2 rear housing screws, 3 terminal screws)
- Additional hardware removed: 1 nut (fan power cord)
- Zip-ties removed: 1
STEP 1 — Remove the Right-Side Panel
- Remove the four screws on the right-side panel and slide the panel off to access the interior. (Illustrated on pg.1.)
STEP 2 — Remove the Zip Tie on the Fan Cable
- Cut or remove the zip tie holding the fan cable in place.
STEP 3 — Remove the Two Bolts on the Fan Housing (Right Side)
- Unscrew the two bolts located on the right side of the fan housing.
STEP 4 — Remove the Left-Side Panel (Use Caution)
- Remove the left panel carefully.
- The panel cannot fully detach due to the inlet and outlet ports.
- Only pull the rear of the panel outward without disturbing the lines.
- Then remove the two remaining bolts from the fan housing near the rear.
STEP 5 — Remove the Fan From the Chiller Housing
- Pull the fan out of the housing.
- You may need to move internal lines or components slightly — use caution to avoid damage.
STEP 6 — Remove the Two Screws on the Back of the Fan Housing
- On the rear side of the fan, remove the two screws securing the power box. (Image provided on pg.3.)
STEP 7 — Remove Terminal Screws and Fan Power Cord Nut
- Remove the three screws from the terminal block on the fan power cord side.
- Remove the nut on the exterior of the fan power cord.
STEP 8 — Remove the Power Cord
- Detach the power cord after the terminal screws are removed.
- You can reinstall the new fan in reverse order.
