Approved Fluids
Use one of the following only:
Temperature Range | Recommended Fluid |
---|---|
–40°C to 110°C | 60:40 Propylene Glycol : Distilled Water |
–40°C to 200°C | High-Performance Silicone Oil |
Do NOT use: Tap water or automotive antifreeze (causes corrosion).
Priming the Chiller
Always prime before use or after draining.
-
Power on the unit.
-
Open the ball valve.
-
Turn on the pump.
-
Let it run for 30 minutes to clear air.

-
Open the ball valve.
-
Run the pump.
-
Set the target temperature.
-
Enable both cooling and heating.
-
Monitor tank level — do not drop below ¼ full.
-
When finished, shut off pump and close valve.
Leaving the valve open during shutdown can cause tank overflow.
Maintenance
-
Daily: Monitor fluid level and visible leaks
-
Monthly:
-
Inspect wiring
-
Clean condenser and cabinet
-
Check copper lines for damage
-
-
Quarterly: Clean condenser fins (more often in dusty environments)
Use glycol test strips if not using silicone oil.
Common Troubleshooting
Problem | Solution |
---|---|
No power | Check breakers, connections, plug screws |
No heating | Check heating relay, safety dial |
No cooling | Clean fan, check compressor |
