Quick Facts

  • Bath must be lifted fully above the housing before removal
  • Probe cover uses a copper washer and requires silicone for sealing
  • All screws must be tightened after silicone is applied
  • Let silicone dry before use

STEP 1 — Raise the Bath

  • Lift the bath jack all the way up until the bath sits above the housing. (Shown in the photo on page 1.)

STEP 2 — Remove the Two Bath Screws

  • Remove the two screws inside the evaporator bath.
  • Lift the bath housing carefully — do not pull hard due to wiring underneath.

STEP 3 — Remove the Set Screw and Probe Housing

  • Under the bath, remove the set screw from the probe housing.
  • Then unscrew the probe housing from the bath and pull out the probe.

STEP 4 — Remove the Top Probe Cover

  • Use a 17 mm socket to remove the top probe cover.
  • You may need to hold the underside of the cover with a wrench for leverage.
  • Once unscrewed, remove the probe cover.

STEP 5 — Apply Silicone to the New Probe Cover

  • Apply silicone around the copper washer on the new probe cover, as shown in the images on page 2.

STEP 6 — Apply Silicone to One Side of the Nut

  • Coat one side of the nut with silicone.
  • This silicone-coated side will face the inside base of the bath to create a leak-proof seal.

STEP 7 — Install the New Probe Cover

  • Place the probe cover into the bath with the silicone-coated copper washer pressed against the underside of the bath.
  • Screw on the nut with the silicone side down to complete the seal.

STEP 8 — Reinstall Probe Housing

  • Reattach the probe housing and tighten the set screw.

STEP 9 — Apply Silicone to Bath Screw Holes

  • Apply silicone to the base of the water bath screw holes.

STEP 10 — Reinstall Screws

  • Tighten both screws from the bath interior onto the jack to create a water-tight seal.
  • Clean any excess silicone around the screws.
  • Let silicone dry before use.
